De Santis is a C and assembler programmer, with implemented applications mostly in the areas of lighting, automotive and security. De Santis has extensive experience with PIC12, PIC16, and PIC18 devices and has recently worked on PIC-based projects including:

• Ballast controller for metal halide discharge lamps (first developed in assembler then rewritten in C, with firmware upgrading via a bootloader)
• Ultrasonic parking aids
• USB joysticks
• Caravan control panels

De Santis has also worked on projects involving writing primitives for graphic LCDs and controlling a GSM module in order to send e-mails.
